We can't wait to welcome you to England by sharing a pint at one of our favorite local pubs.

A generous selection of appetisers and bites will be provided, so there’s no need to make separate dinner plans. Please drop in at any point to kick off the weekend.

The Wedding

Transportation

Transportation will be provided from the ceremony to the reception.Transport will depart promptly at 15:15.

Dress Code

Garden party:

Men - trousers or chinos with a shirt and jacket (no tie required).

Women - summer dresses.

Arrival

We recommend arriving at the cermony venue from 13:00 onwards.

Guests will be seated for the ceremony at 13:45. Nymans is a beautiful National Trust property with gardens and a historic manor house to explore before the ceremony at 14:00.

GETTING THERE

Travel Information

Flights

Gatwick Airport is approximately 35 minutes from Steyning by car or taxi and is the most convenient option where possible. Most European flights operate from Gatwick.

Heathrow Airport is approximately 1 hour 20 minutes from Steyning in light traffic. Journey times from Heathrow can be significantly longer during peak hours due to congestion on motorways around London. Most long-haul flights from the US arrive into Heathrow.

Getting Around

Steyning is a small market town and easy to get around on foot if you are staying locally. If you are travelling further afield, taxis are available, though numbers are limited.

Taxis

Uber operates in Steyning, but availability can be limited and short journeys are not always accepted.

Local taxi firms are generally more reliable, particularly if pre-booked:

We strongly recommend pre-booking taxis with as much notice as possible. At peak times (Friday and Saturday evenings), waiting times can be an hour or more.

For airport transfers, we recommend Henfield Village Cars, who we have used for many years. If you would like help arranging an airport pick-up or drop-off, let us know your flight details and we are very happy to coordinate this for you.

Accommodation

The nearest hotel is The Castle Inn, located in Bramber, the village next to Steyning. It is approximately a 5 minute taxi ride or a 30 minute walk.

They have a small number of rooms remaining for the wedding weekend, so we recommend booking as soon as possible if you plan to stay there.

There are also a limited number of Airbnb options in and around Steyning.

If you are staying in Steyning itself, you will be able to walk easily between our house, the High Street and The Star Inn, where we will be hosting welcome drinks on Friday evening.

If you are arriving early or staying on after the wedding and would like to explore Sussex, let us know. We would be very happy to help arrange a driver or minibus for the day and can suggest an itinerary including:
